Design optimization of engine mounting system for a modular electric vehicle platform with different powertrain characteristics

Abstract In recent days, there is much focus on the modularity of platform to reduce cost and improve system-level design efficiency. this paper, a study has been done for various non-linear input torque (different powertrain) optimization with modular powertrain mounting system where only stiffness varied achieve goal. Here, goals are maximization kinetic energy distribution decoupling rate minimization CoG movement under torque. HEEDS MATLAB tools used analysis. First, three different powertrains considered individually optimization. Then, all particular location optimized mount stiffness. Different stiffnesses chosen in such way that can be achieved by hardness adjustment or minimum modification without any change complete design. Proposed results show properly address quite quickly.
